What’s The Difference Between Botox & Dysport

Both Botox and Dysport are FDA-approved neuromodulators that come from botulinum toxin, a neurotoxic protein. Both are used at specific treatment areas to increase skin quality and give a youthful appearance. Where they differ is in their usage and the types of wrinkles they’re best with.

Dysport is more commonly used to reduce the appearance of frown lines between your eyebrows. It’s great at minimizing moderate to severe forehead lines that may make you look older or more harsh than you’d like. Dysport contains a smaller number of molecules when compared to Botox. This means that it can work faster than Botox treatments. Some people notice results as soon as 5-7 days with full effect at 2 weeks.

Botox, however, is used more for reducing fine to moderate wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, and forehead, such as crow's feet, or laugh lines.  The effects of Botox are typically realized after 7-14 days.

Our team at Hebe Beauty Bar is highly trained in the usage and application of both options and understands what works best for any scenario. When you come to our clinic, we’ll walk you through a free consultation to learn about your goals and the areas you’d like to improve, and we’ll put together a treatment plan that is best suited to you and your skin

So don’t worry if you’re not sure whether Botox or Dysport is the best choice for you. We’ll be with you every step of the way.
